In the spring of 2011, a committee of board members, staff, and parents selected Ken Lam from an international pool of over one hundred applicants. A Peabody alum, Ken comes to GBYO from the Cincinnati Symphony, where he served for three years as their Assistant Conductor, as well as Conductor of the Cincinnati Youth Symphony Orchestra. Shortly after his selection, Ken further distinguished himself as the winner of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra International Conducting Competition.
